Global Empowerment Network, Inc (GEN) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization advancing education, connecting individuals with pro bono legal resources, providing charitable assistance, and creating personal and professional development opportunities that strengthen individuals and communities.

OUR SERVICES

Global Empowerment Network, Inc (GEN) provides accessible educational opportunities for underserved individuals and communities, with a particular focus on women and girls. Our programs are offered online and in person and may range from a few hours to several days, weeks, months, six months, or up to one year.

  1. Women’s Empowerment & Learning Programs
    Educational and skills-development opportunities designed to support the personal, academic, and professional growth of women and girls.

  2. Professional & Career Development
    Resume development, interview preparation, career planning, networking, workplace readiness, and other practical skills that support professional advancement.

  3. Leadership & Management Development
    Training in leadership, decision-making, team management, conflict resolution, strategic planning, communication, and organizational skills.

  4. Business & Entrepreneurship Education
    Training in business fundamentals, entrepreneurship, business planning, customer relations, business development, and practical skills for individuals—particularly women—who are interested in starting or growing a business.

  5. Digital Skills & Online Opportunities
    Digital literacy, artificial intelligence, technology tools, online work skills, digital marketing, and practical training designed to help participants navigate and benefit from online opportunities.

  6. Financial Literacy
    Practical education in budgeting, money management, saving, personal finance, and basic financial and business concepts.

  7. Languages & Communication
    Language learning, professional communication, public speaking, cross-cultural communication, and interpersonal communication skills.

  8. Workshops, Short Courses & Extended Programs
    Educational opportunities may include workshops lasting a few hours, multi-day trainings, short courses lasting several weeks, multi-month programs, six-month programs, and selected programs lasting up to one year.

Educational Programs

Global Empowerment Network, Inc (GEN) develops and implements charitable and community-support initiatives based on identified needs, available resources, partnerships, and project funding. Our goal is to connect individuals and families in need with practical assistance and essential resources through responsible, community-centered programs.

Our charitable initiatives may include:

  1. Emergency & Basic Needs Support
    Project-based assistance addressing urgent needs such as food, essential household items, clothing, and other basic necessities.

  2. Community Assistance Projects
    Short-term and targeted initiatives designed to respond to specific needs within underserved communities.

  3. Educational & Family Support
    Assistance related to educational needs, school supplies, learning resources, and support for families facing financial hardship.

  4. Partner-Supported Assistance
    Collaboration with nonprofit organizations, businesses, donors, and community partners to provide resources such as gift cards, food assistance, educational materials, and other appropriate forms of support.

  5. Seasonal & Special Initiatives
    Charitable projects implemented during specific periods or in response to identified community needs, subject to available funding and resources.

GEN’s charitable assistance is provided through specific projects and partnerships and is subject to available funding, resources, eligibility requirements, and program capacity.

Charity Programs

Global Empowerment Network, Inc (GEN) helps underserved individuals and communities access reliable legal information and appropriate pro bono resources by connecting them with participating law school clinics, licensed attorneys, and legal service organizations. GEN does not independently provide legal representation or individualized legal advice.

Our pro bono resource areas may include:

  1. Immigration & Refugee Support
    Referrals and connections for matters involving asylum, immigration status, removal-related concerns, refugee issues, and other immigration matters.

  2. Family Law Resources
    Connections to appropriate legal resources for matters involving divorce, child custody, family-related disputes, and other family law concerns.

  3. Civil Justice & Workers’ Rights
    Referrals for matters such as wage disputes, unemployment benefits, workplace rights, discrimination, harassment, and other civil justice issues.

  4. Housing & Community Legal Resources
    Connections to legal clinics and organizations that may assist with housing disputes and other community-based legal needs.

  5. Nonprofit & Small Business Legal Resources
    Referrals and educational resources concerning nonprofit governance, organizational structure, contracts, tax-exempt matters, business formation, and related transactional legal issues.

  6. Women’s Rights & Gender Equality
    Connections to legal education, clinics, attorneys, and organizations addressing women’s rights, gender equality, gender-based discrimination, and related legal protections.

  7. Access to Justice & Human Rights
    Connections to appropriate legal resources concerning access to justice, civil and human rights, and other matters affecting underserved communities.

  8. Legal Education & Awareness
    Workshops, informational sessions, and educational resources designed to help individuals better understand their rights, legal systems, available resources, and pathways to appropriate legal assistance.

  9. Law Student Pro Bono Opportunities
    GEN may connect law students with participating legal clinics, licensed attorneys, and legal service organizations for eligible pro bono opportunities. When applicable, pro bono hours are documented or certified by the supervising attorney, clinic, or academic institution—not by GEN and remain subject to the requirements of the student’s law school or applicable program.

Availability of referrals, legal resources, and pro bono opportunities depends on the participating attorney, clinic, organization, location, eligibility requirements, and available capacity.

Pro Bono Legal Resources
